My newborn sessions are designed to be relaxed and unhurried, giving plenty of time for feeding, settling and cuddles. Every full newborn session includes baby portraits, family photographs and sibling photographs, creating a complete record of these first precious weeks.

We had the most amazing experience getting our newborn photoshoot with Sheena. Being new parents, we had no idea what to expect and how our baby would cope, but from the moment we stepped into her studio, Sheena made us feel so comfortable. Newborn sessions are designed for babies up to 5 weeks old but is best done in the first 2 weeks. The best day to photograph your little one is between day five and day fourteen. During this time newborns tend to be sleepier and retain that fresh curl.

Once you arrive in my Greystones studio I will give you some time to feed and soothe your baby. As soon as baby is happy and sleepy we can get started. During your session, your baby’s comfort and safety are always my priority. There is no need to worry if you are not feeling 100% yet. I will soothe, swaddle and ensure baby is kept happy. These sessions usually last 2-3 hours.

Family & Sibling Photographs

Every full newborn session includes time for family and sibling portraits. These images often become the photographs that families treasure most, capturing not just your baby but this moment in your family’s story.

How It Works

1. Book During Pregnancy

Most families book during their second or third trimester.

2. We Reserve Your Due Date

Your session is provisionally booked for your due date plus ten days.

3. Baby Arrives

Once baby is here we’ll confirm the exact session date.

4. Enjoy Your Session

A calm, baby-led session with plenty of time for feeding and settling in our beautiful studion in Gresytones, Co. Wicklow.

5. View Your Images

Return to the studio to view your photographs and choose your favourites.

Session Fee – €125

Your session fee covers your newborn photography session and your return viewing appointment.

Then once your images are ready I will invite you back to the studio for your viewing session. This is one of my favourite parts of the process as I love to see Mum and Dad’s reactions to the images we have created! At this session you will choose your wall art, prints, albums or any additional items you may wish. I will discuss all of the options with you and help you select the right images and the right products to suit your needs. We offer payment plans on all of our collections and have products to suit everyone’s taste and budget. There is no obligation to purchase beyond your session fee.

Looking for a shorter newborn session?

Our Short & Sweet Newborn Sessions offer a simple baby-only experience including 4 high resolution digital images.

As these sessions are much shorter than our regular sessions we focus solely on baby, in various wrapped poses. These sessions don’t include parent or sibling shots—instead we focus on getting some beautiful images of baby all wrapped up!
